. . . I almost forgot about posting!
Life has been a whirlwind this past few weeks and the pending posts are piling up - which is a good & bad thing (I always wondered how I would ever keep up with the "feed me, Lollie" coming from my computer).
So what's been keeping me from my keyboard?
Well I guess this epic adventure all started a few weeks ago with a a scrumptious luncheon at Common Ground, in Allston - hosted by Boston Parent Bloggers, Pragmatic Mom & Capability Mom.
The afternoon was postcard perfect and we sat outside on their patio, sampling a parade of plates proudly presented by Common Ground owner, Bob O'Guin.
These were no ordinary eats . . .
Chicken Satay that was moist, tender & tasty (so often, at other places, the chicken is dry and bland). Prosciutto with a selection of New England produced cheeses and delectable house-made fruit relishes. And Serrano Ham with house-made Fig Jam & brie.
I loved the Roasted Duck Salad with dried cranberries ad green apples, dressed with a malt vinaigrette. And the field greens were accompanied by slices of super fresh mozzerella (and you know how I love my mozzerella super fresh!).
And then there was the bacon! Deviled Eggs topped with a chunk of their very own bacon. And perfectly seared scallops seated upon a strip of bacon. I was in bacony heaven!
Lunch was topped off with sweet, creamy & thick milkshakes made with their own ice cream. (Our mini-shakes got slurped up before I could snap a shot of 'em.)
Oh yeah, I will be back, Common Ground, next time with my menfolk.
The very next day I was on the train to Philedelphia for Bloggy Boot Camp with the SITS Girls!
But before the SITS fun even began, there was an afternoon to catch up with a dear old friend - my college roommate, matron-of-honor at both of my weddings (yes, I had a trainer marriage before I found the Handsome Husband) and god mother to both of my mini-men.
We shopped, we chatted, we laughed and we discovered that bubbly goes beautifully with ooey-goey nutella paninis.
Top row - two old broads, been friends too many years to reveal.
Center - The ultimate SITS Girl, Tiffany Romero, with me and Mom of 6, Sharon Rowley,
and Digital Mom Handbook co-author, Audrey McClelland.
Bloggy Boot Camp was fab - loads of info and inspiration, new bloggy friends and a bit of schwag to tote home!
So that's it! That's what has been keeping you from your keyboard, you ask?
Nah, this is just the beginning of this tale!
Check back tomorrow and we'll take a bite out of the Big Apple.

So much fun having dinner with ya and chatting about new england at BBC! That lunch looks and sounds amazing!!
ReplyDeleteIt definitely was a fun evening! Next we talk knit-purl - I'm also a yarn addict, my project basket is overflowing, it's a problem.
